Art in the Square

Beautiful Utica Square is the backdrop for over 90 local artists as they showcase their work. As you stroll down the tree-lined sidewalks, you can admire the different mediums of art ranging from watercolors and stained glass to pottery, sculpture and woodturning. And if you see something that inspires you, stop and chat with the artist. Each artist is on hand to answer any questions you may have. And kids, be sure to stop by Art Alley to participate in fun art activities. This free event celebrates art and the art of shopping.

Artwork Submittals for 2018 Art in the Square

Thank you for your interest in Art in the Square. The 2018 Art in the Square event will be held on Saturday, October 6. If you are interested in qualifying for the 2018 Art in the Square, please read the following instructions.

We will accept new submissions during the month of July. You may bring in your art beginning Monday, July 9. Helmerich & Payne Properties staff and Utica Square merchants meet every Wednesday of July to review each weeks submittal work that has been brought in. You can bring original pieces (4 to 5), slides, portfolios or flyers for our judging panel.

Giclee prints are allowed as representations, but please have original artwork as well. We invite returning artists back and usually have space for 10 to 20 new artists. Artists are assigned spaces along the sidewalks in front of each of our merchants.

You will be notified by letter by mid-August if you've been accepted into the show. There will be a $100 entry fee to participate, if accepted. The judges will be looking for quality traditional artwork in traditional medium. No jewelry or crafts are allowed. Good Luck and we hope to see you in July!
